Mawang Mail | Together Mail Travelling Sticker Card 5 Pack
This special traveling postcard was designed by First Nation artist Ashleigh Pengelly. The postcard is named Mawang (pronounced mah-wun) Mail. The word Mawang means ‘together’ in Wiradjuri language and was designed especially for Postix to signify people being connected through mail and stickers.
How it works:
Pick a theme and write it on the front in the space along with your return address. Then post the card onto your friend who will then pass it onto someone else. The last person will then post it back to you and you can see where you postcard has travelled to!
Born in Wagga Wagga in regional NSW on Wiradjuri Country, Ashleigh’s Aboriginal heritage comes from her matriarchal line with family ties mostly around Wagga and Leeton in regional NSW, with grandmother, Eunice Higgins, hailing from Balranald.
A self-taught artist and business woman, Ashleigh creates a range of fun, bright and colourful artworks across various mediums. Little Black Duck allows Ashleigh to forge a new path and show Wagga, Australia and the world, that herself along with all First Nations women are a formidable force.
