Make a 3D envelope card
Give your happy mail a personal touch with these sweet 3D envelope cards.
These 3D care are incredibly easy to make and will wow the recipient. The card can feature an inner pocket to store the stickers you're gifting, or you can make it smaller if you want to write a note inside instead.
To make them, you'll need some coloured cards, scissors, a pencil, a ruler, a scoring tool, glue or double-sided sticky tape, decorative stickers, and our templates, available for free download (see below).
Don't worry; the process is straightforward. To create your own 3D card, follow these simple steps or refer to the video at the end of the post.
- Start by selecting the stickers for the recipient and the envelope. This will help guide the size of your card. Decide whether you want the card to open from bottom to top or right to left.
- Once you have your size guides, measure the card and cut it to size.
- Use a scoring tool to mark the middle of the card to make it easier to fold in half.
- Print off one of the templates below onto your card paper to make the mini 3D envelope.
- Select a size for the mini 3D envelope and cut it out.
- Score the top and side edges of the mini 3D envelope and fold them in.
- Stick the mini 3D envelope down onto the front of the card using a mini 3D envelope.
- Measure and cut a piece of card positioned to sit slightly inside the mini 3D envelope.
- Position and stick down the mini card.
- Then decorate your card!
